Rope access technicians pressure wash Seattle’s iconic Space Needle using only heated high pressure pure water. This was the Space Needle’s first cleaning since it was built in 1962. German based company Karcher Gmbh donated its services to clean the Space Needle, as it did with Mt. Rushmore in 2005 where it developped an eco friendly washing method using only high-pressure hot water to replace detergents. Frank Huster was the first photographer ever to rappel down the space needle to take these on-rope shots. At dawn, hand-held with a Nikon D3 and the fantastic 14-24 f/2.8 at ISO 1600.
